　　拆分题目中的概括性名词

　　我们在部分写作题目中会看见具有概括性的名词。这类词指整类事物或现象，能划分出多个种类，如people，things，problems，activities等。那么当题目中出现这类词时，我们就可以将它们分情况进行讨论，比如下面这道题目：

　　Do you agree or disagree with the following statement?

　　Advertising can tell you a lot about a country.

　　Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.

　　这道题目中的advertising是一个概括性的名词，因为广告有很多类别。比如，我们可以根据广告的内容举出三类广告：公益广告(public service advertising)，旅游广告(tourism advertising)和高科技产品的广告(high-tech product advertising)。

　　公益广告由于其主题的现实性，能够让人们了解到这个国家主要的社会问题(social problems)，旅游广告让人们看到国家的著名旅游景点(tourist attractions)，高科技产品的广告能让人见识到一个国家的科技发展(technological development)，比如智能手机的广告。

　　所以，这题持同意立场的三个分论点可以为：

　　首先，这道题如果选择认同第二句，即认为汽车造成了很多问题，就可以用我们之前介绍的拆概括性名词的方法来将“problems”进行拆分。汽车带来的问题可不少，比如：环境污染(environmental pollution)，能源短缺(energy shortage)，交通堵塞(traffic congestion)，安全问题(safety issues)，健康问题(health problems) 等…
