　　扩大阅读量

　　俗话说读写不分家。读书不仅是为了增长知识，加强思考能力，还是可以帮助我们认识并熟悉词汇。通过阅读来理解词汇与单纯死背词汇最大的区别是读书让我们用心体会词汇，一个个由字母组成的单词不再是枯燥的符号，而是被作者赋予了生命的和读者进行心灵对话的使者。而且阅读让我们在一定情境下去了解词汇的意思和用法，更便于掌握词的使用。

　　无论是读小说还是The New York Times, Fortune等杂志文章，在阅读的同时可以将喜欢的词和句子抄在笔记本上，经常翻看，久而久之，可灵活使用的词汇句式就会不断增长。

　　制作词汇手册

　　将词汇归类可便于记忆、学习和使用。比如你可以将描述感官的词句分类。声音类，如落叶踩在脚下“crackling”， 巨大的海浪在“roaring”，金属撞击时”clanking”。触觉类，如物体表面silky, bumpy, filthy, dusty等。又比如描述冲突/对抗的词句，描述改变/增加/减少的词句。随着阅读的增加，逐渐积累手册上的内容。

　　好记性不如烂笔头。只靠大量阅读和积累词汇是不够的，记忆力再好也会出现遗忘，所以提高写作不可缺少的是勤练笔。可以从简单的开始，写篇生活心得，或根据一个写作提示/题目来写一小段文章。

　　注意不要写成流水账，就集中写一个场景或某个时刻的心理感受。可以是一篇长文，或几段话，甚至几句话，要尽量细致地选用准确的词语来描述细节。
