　　Summarize Written Text其实就是要求大家在抓住一篇长文的重点后，运用从句和插入语将几个零散的句子连成一句话！

　　例子：

　　Jelly fish have survived for 650 million years.

　　They are an ancient species.

　　They have no brains.

　　It gives hope to many people who are self-righteous.

　　These people are not uncommon in modern society.

　　学生A将它连成一句话后，长这样：

　　(A) The fact that jelly fish, an ancient species, have survived for 650 million years, (B) despite they have no brains, (C) gives hope to many people who are self-righteous, (D) moreover, (E) these people are not uncommon in modern society.

　　来找找这个句子的错误❌有哪些？

　　这句“串烧”的错误在于：

　　B部分是插入语，而插入语应该是介词+名词的组合（或名词词组），介词后不能跟一个完整句子。

　　D部分是个副词，不能用来引导从句，否则E部分就变成了第二个主句。

　　记住：只有连词才能引导从句。

　　正确的写法应该是：

　　The factthat jelly fish,an ancient species, have survived for 650 million years, despite having no brains,gives hope to many peoplewho are self-righteous,and these people are not uncommon in modern society.
